Can somebody advice me on the progress of this project? Im very much worried on this one..

Im a investor in the above project and i am like your self very worried it feels as though money is lost. I cant get through to the developer. The people i get through to tell me they are no longer part of Casamia Star FZE and they are LLC.

What shell i do? Who else have brought apartment with this developer

I have 3 apartments in Frankfurt residence, and they told me the same thing that the developer and broker are two different people. I'm going to Dubai in 3 weeks so I can get my money back. Where are you hassan? maybe we can go together.

In Europe a lawyer advertising on a forum like this would be disbarred by the
law society for such atrocious behaviour. 1000 AED per hour to discuss a case.
Has anyone being talking to developers who are offering to swap. I was
offered a construction based plan from a company in Marmooka city and
i am thinking about the offer because i dont want to waste any more
money on legal fees.
Has anyone here doen a swap yet and if so, how did they find the process

SWAPPING DEVELOPMENTS

There are companies out there who will gladly swap your development with theirs. Just a word of caution, though. If you pay "too much" of a deposit (like me) they can't help you. I paid 50% over 2 yrs before trying to claw my money back during the recent recession. I can't get any help now. If you want to do something right these days it seems you have to do it yourself. I will probably end up going to the developer's office in Dubai.
p.s does anyone find the CAPTCHA images useless ? Takes me about 5 tries to get the code right !

If you paid 50% how do you think you could get a company to swap you over. They are trying to make
money like we are. Once the laws change for investors and i think they eventually will., i intend taking a
case against my former developer eventhough i have swapped. I paid almost 25 % and they allowed me to swap

TAKING ACTION AGAINST CONTRACTORS

I have heard that taking legal action locally can be very expensive. What about taking along an official from ARRA and visiting the offices ? I have emailed ARRA several times and had no response to my queries. Is this normal ? Can anyone suggest an alternative means of action ?

you had no response

If you had noo response form ARRA on queries they will hardly go around to the contractors
office with you. Id your developer is not registered just like mine wasnt, my understanding is that
ARRA can do nothing with them. They can only take action on registered developers. The courts are
your only option and it is costly and there are no guarantees.
I have saved my money by swapping to a good company and i will aslo sue my former developer
later if the laws change in favour of investors.

REGISTRATION

Is it not a legal requirement for developers to register with ARRA ?
If it is , then they have committed an offence. If not, then there is a gaping loophole or in this case a "black hole" through which developers can escape forever. Bringing a civil case against them will prove to be very costly and I don't even know the law in UAE
